  • Carl Sagan was brilliant. But ignorance of science and adherence to demonstrably false ideological claims are still rife, particularly in the US (among western countries). It's sad, but unfortunately true.

  • Who's screaming? Anyone who dares say anything against religious ideas is immediately called shrill or intolerant etc. That's just bullshit. That reaction is purely because it's seen as bad form to question someone's religious ideas.

  • The effects and effectiveness of meditation have nothing to do with Buddhism's supernatural claims. It is a practice that can be studied scientifically and real answers discovered. I'm not sure what you're trying to prove by bringing it up.
